Outdoor blinds and awnings extend an outdoor space into a usable all-weather area. We have supplied patios, restaurants, schools, and retail across greater Durban and SA since 1994.
We manufacture, an installer fits
We are a manufacturer. We cut and build the PVC blinds, canvas awnings, and repair components to your exact spec, and the fitting is a separate job. Use an installer. We refer to fitters we work with regularly, so ask us when you order and we will put you onto one.
We push this because a blind is only as good as the way it is hung. Wrong tension, a skew roller, or a badly placed fixing and the blind will not seal, will flap in wind, and will wear at the stress points long before the material would have given up. Keeping supply and fitting separate is what keeps our lead times tight and our prices lower than a supply-and-install operation.
Installers are welcome to contact us to be added to our database of recommended installers.
Repairs, re-skins, and window replacement
A big slice of our blinds work is keeping existing installations going. Welded patches on torn PVC, replacement clear-window panels, full re-skins on existing frames, seam re-welds where the old PVC has perished. Drop the blind at our factory or we collect in greater Durban.
Most repairs cost a fraction of a full replacement and extend service life by years. If your patio blinds are cloudy, torn, or split at the seams, phone us before ordering new.
Clear PVC, canvas, or sheer weave
A clear PVC panel keeps the view and blocks the rain. Canvas gives shade and a softer feel. Sheer weave gives light and privacy control without full block-out. We combine fabrics on larger openings, a canvas awning with drop-down PVC for wet-weather cover is our most common restaurant spec.
Why we do not recommend a full clear blind
Most enquiries start with a request for a blind that is clear from top to bottom, and we will usually steer you away from it. Clear PVC is not as strong as standard PVC, and it shrinks a good deal faster. On a full clear panel that shows up as a blind that has pulled out of shape, gone slack, or lifted at the edges long before it should have, and the wider the opening the sooner it shows.
What we build instead is a standard PVC blind with a clear window panel sized to the view you actually want. The PVC carries the tension and takes the weather, the clear panel gives you the view through the middle of it, and the blind holds its shape for years longer.
Fabric and PVC detail
Canvas is 420 to 680 gsm, UV and mildew treated. PVC is UV stabilised, available clear, bronze, smoke, or coloured. We supply the fabric, the roller, the window panels, and any custom printing. Your installer fits it.
